New Media for Open Society

Abstract: The presentation will serve as a showcase for some projects of potential grantees of Youth Action Fund (Thailand).  YAF (Thailand) is an initiative which give small grants to youth-driven projects that use new media to promote one of the following: alternative/new media development, access to justice for vulnerable groups, citizen education on rights and responsibilities, monitoring government’s record on human rights and democracy, and advocacy for the rights of citizens to participate in government decision making process.   For more information about YAF (Thailand), please visit www.youthafasia.org.
