Online Debating on Steroids – Mastering Skype-Debating

Abstract: During my debating career, my debate partner spent an exchange year abroad. Despite the geographic divide we had to stay on top of the our game to successfully compete at international debate tournaments in Europe. To that end, we spent hours upon hours debating over Skype, either one-on-one or recruiting other debate geeks from all over the World. Today I’m of the firm belief that Skype debates played an instrumental role in taking our team – the Debatamates – to the ESL European Champion title and I’d be glad to share the experience with others in a lecture/workshop format.
