Mashpit: How to Inspire IT-geeks With Social Projects in Internet?

Presenter: Natallia Isaevich

Abstract: There is a stereotype that people, who can be called IT-geeks prefer develop and investigate new features of modern technology, but don’t notice a real life of society, it’s problems. From the other side society doesn’t pay attention on geeks.

This problem in Belarus we try to solve by organizing small meeting – Mash pits that are popular in the USA.

In my presentation I’ll tell you about our experience of work, when geeks forget about money, and in small co-working teems realize in a short time social useful projects.

Hope, you’ll find it interesting and can tell me about your experience (if you have).

IT-geeks are welcomed!
